4 SEO Services To Steer Clear Of On Fiverr

Sometimes in trying to save a buck, quality can be severely compromised. Such is the case with low budget and or low cost SEO services which are abundant on the web. This is where the old adage of “if it sounds too good to be true, is most likely is” applies ten fold. If you spend a good deal of time online, by now you’ve probably heard of Fiverr, the site dedicated to things people will do for five dollars. Let me first say, I love Fiverr and use it myself regularly for a variety of things but none of those things have to do with SEO.
Bad Fiverr SEO

On Fiverr.com, you’ll find many listings with titles like; Google first page rankings, 1000 backlinks in 24 hours, automated links and more. Stay clear of these with a ten foot pole, unless you want low quality and a bad SEO outcome.

Below we discuss four SEO services which you should steer clear of on Fiverr.com or any other similar site. It’s simply not worth losing whatever good rankings you may already have in search, to save a few bucks here and there.

1. Automated Links

You should not engage in anything automated when it comes to your site or blog, no matter the promise. Google frowns heavily on automated content and automated links and will penalize you accordingly including but not limited to lower rankings, no rankings or a complete de-indexing of your site. Search engines want (and reward) fresh content, natural links and transparency. So in all that you do when it concerns your blog, do it naturally and make it relevant.

2. 1,000 Backlinks Service Providers

These are the worst and am not sure how anyone takes these types of listings seriously. This is actually one of the worst things you can do to a site or blog, build links fast in large quantities. This is not natural for any site, especially new sites and you won’t get far with Google if you practice this sort of SEO. Instead build links slowly and take the time and effort that is required, and Google will reward you with good rankings.

3. Guaranteed Google First Page Rankings

This is another cheap low cost SEO service you see a lot of on Fiverr. I can assure you there isn’t a member on Fiverr that can guarantee you first page rankings on Google, Yahoo, Bing or any other search engine on the planet. If you think someone on Fiverr is going to spend the required time and energy it takes to achieve a first page ranking on a good keyword term for only five bucks – keep dreaming. This simply is not possible and not true, stay away from these providers.

4. Paid Footer Text Links

Footer links were popular some years back but since then have been devalued quite abit. I would not spend my money on a footer link on some dubious blog for five bucks, instead what I would do is write a guest blog post and submit it to a good, relevant and established blog. Footer links are a waste of your time and money.

When it comes to search engine optimization it’s best to err on the side of quality – each and every time. There are tried and true practices which have been proven to deliver good results, why not give these a try instead.

When anybody make their website at that time he/she wants to see their site on first page in Google and no doubt in that you can achieve this position in google easily but for this you need to do some effort for your site and this is possible only by the tactics of SEO and we should try to get only organic links for our site.

Hi, BCS:

Yes all new site and blog owners want their sites to do well in search, however there are standard practices which should be followed to attain good results. Cheap and low cost services are not the answer.

Thanks for commenting.

One should never use fiverr gigs for SEO. Its not gonna work anymore after panda update.

Hi, Parasmani:

Agree 100%, hopefully others who are thinking about it, realize it simply is not a good idea.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been considering Fiverr but was not looking at them for backlinks specifically. However, reading your post makes me realize I have to be very cautious.

Was looking for a step by step way to optimize my website and your website showed up. You have some really interesting articles. Its nice to see a professional’s thought on the business side of SEOs. I now know I should try SEOMOz and get myself all the basic knowledge.

I LOVE Fiver. But I can tell you from experience, that a lot of mistakes are to be made trying to use these shortcuts. At best they are a waste of money, at worse, they can take months of hard work to to recover from. Thanks for letting others know.
