WordPress is an awesome blogging platform and what makes it really delightful to use is the plugins that are available with it. Many bloggers use every plugin they find hoping that it will benefit them but you should be very cautious with the plugins you install because some tend to increase the upload time of your blog. Still, some plugins should be used by every blogger. Today, I want to share with you 5 must use plugins for WordPress users.

1. Akismet- This plugin is pre installed with WordPress and you just need to activate it with the help of API key. The API key could be found in your WordPress.com account. If you don’t have one, click here to create an account. After logging in your Dashboard, go to Profile area and copy-paste the API key. This plugin automatically filter spam comments from genuine comments and help you save time and effort.

2. All in One SEO- SEO is a major aspect for a blog to be successful and this plugin exactly do this. You can decide the title of the blog and how it should be displayed. You can also set the title of a particular post than its original title to attract search engine traffic. A must use plugin for a serious blogger.

3. CommentLuv- This plugin parse the last post by a blogger and put it with his/her comments, thereby encouraging comments among the fellow bloggers. Use it if you have just started blogging, you need comments for sure and you will get them with CommentLuv.

4. WP Security Scan- These days many blogs are target of hackers and a good security plugin is very important. This plugin will help you scanning your blog and if it finds any problem with file permissions, database, password or some other security loophole; you will be notified.

5. WP Greet Box- I found this plugin very helpful when it comes to increasing popularity and readership. You can customize this plugin for traffic coming from Google, Facebook, Digg and other sites and set specific message for them. I personally like this plugin

The above selection of plugins is based on my experience with them. I would love to hear your favorite plugins and share it here.
