As I have already told you in some of my previous posts, my beginning as a blogger was very awful. I started many blogs and deleted because of lack of ideas which resulted in no content. At that time, I did not know where I was going wrong. I did not know what was niche and what monetization is. What I only knew was start a blog, write (read copy) content from article sites and use Adsense.
So, I started blogs on camping and insurance. I knew nothing about these things. But at that time, these were the highest paying keywords and I hope I can continue my blogging with the posts from copying free articles all over the internet. As expected, I failed. But the failures help me gain immense experience and I caught my mistakes which I swear not to repeat.
Everybody commit these mistakes. I am writing here about some common mistakes which you should avoid. You will eventually learn them but still it’s much better not to do them.
- Wrong Niche- The most common mistake. If you are starting a blog to make money through it, select a niche on which you have enough knowledge to share with everyone.
- Duplicate Content- Many bloggers try to be a successful blogger by just copying other blogger’s content or from copying articles from article sites. AVOID IT. Keep in mind- original sells.
- Too much Monetization- Because you have started blog for earning money, it’s obvious that you will put ads. Do not put ads all over the blog that they overshadow the content. Keep them well mixed with the content so that ads look like a part of your blog.
- Impatience- Never expect too much initially. Your Adsense account could never go to $1 to $10 in one week if your blog is new. Keep patience and keep working on every aspect of your blog. It will reap benefits.
- Discouragement- Never get discouraged if you are not getting free traffic. Every blog goes through this phase in its lifetime. So there should be no discouragement and lapses on your part. Do not relax and continue the hard work. If you work sincerely, there is no one who can stop you from being a successful blogger.
For the new bloggers, if you can avoid the above mentioned mistakes, you will get success. A new blog requires serious dedication for the first 6- 8 months. Once it starts getting good regular traffic, all you need to do is post good content regularly and keep reviewing the design of the blog, checking that links are working properly and of course, COLLECTING THE CASH.

The fourth mistake is done by almost everyone.. Dunno why the newbies don’t understand that it takes a hell lot of time.
Newbies think that blogging is nothing but keep writing and keep collecting cash
