Yesterday, I told you that I will be revealing very shortly why I stopped blogging at IndianCashMaker and started with BloggersPassion. Today is the day to do so.
As I already said that I started IndianCashMaker in June 2009 with BlogSpot and shifted to WordPress in October 2009. My journey with IndianCashMaker was not going that bad, if not good. I was happy with my achievements although they were coming slowly because I am a part time blogger. I am involved in a day job and do not get enough time for blogging.
Since December started, I started seeing a worrying trend in my traffic. My traffic started to dip and I was a bit confused why that was happening. I was writing regularly, commenting regularly and doing tits and bits of SEO. I thought it was just a rough patch and will pass eventually. But it did not happened until I got a call from Puneet.
Puneet is the admin of MobiGyaan.com and he told me he is a regular visitor of my blog. He liked my content a little too much and when I told him that I am getting around 20-30 visitors per day, he was a bit surprised as he thought my content was worth getting lots and lots of visitors. So, to change my blog’s fortunes, he suggested me two things.
1. Moving on to a .com domain. He said .in domain only caters to Indian audience and is not that global.
2. He asked me to change the domain from IndianCashMaker to something that does not signals people that I am more interested in Indian audience rather than traffic from all around the world.
3. He suggested me to change the theme and get a more professional one and removing unnecessary widgets.
So, I took his advice seriously and here is the result. I started with BloggersPassion and I hope that the suggestions of Puneet will help to take to new heights of blogging.
Very sincere thanks to Puneet who pointed out these small but important flaws in my blog. And I am very much dedicated to make BloggersPassion a common name in the blogosphere.
