HostPapa Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deal

Every blogger’s dream is to start earning money with their blog as soon as possible. Though money may not be the sole reason or the priority for setting up a blog or website, it is one of the reasons for the several blogs in the blogosphere.

Why $100 you may ask?

  • You don’t have to get too much traffic
  • You don’t need to write tons of blog posts
  • You don’t need a great online community around your blog
  • You don’t need a huge email list

To make your first $100 and it’s the best way to start your blogging journey. Once you make some cash through your blogging efforts, it always motivates you to go ahead (to build a profitable blog) in one or two years.

So how do you earn your first $100 on your blog in less than 2 months of starting your own blog?

I am using $100 here because that is usually the least payment cash out from Google Adsense if that is what you intend to use for your revenue drive.make money online

However, in this post, I am going to talk about something more than just depending on Google Adsense and waiting endlessly to cash your first check from them. Haven’t you noticed that a lot of bloggers get their first check after several months? Some even get theirs after a few years.

That is not what you wish for yourself. Hope I am right? I know that Google Adsense has become the traditional way many webmasters depend on to generate revenue from their blogs. But try as much as possible to remove your mind from adsense as you read this post.

Have you just set up a new blog and you are determined to earn your first $100 on your blog in less than 2 months from now? There are several things you are going to do to make your dream a reality.

How to earn your first $100 on your blog

We are going to take some time to look at some of those important things we need to do in order to increase our chances of earning real income with our blogs or website in the shortest possible time.

Please remember that the following mentioned methods are somewhat like make quick money online. But they will only work if you really focus on blogging for next few months. Try to keep your blog posting schedule consistent and make sure you are working at least 2 to 3 hours every day for few weeks to see the best results. Let’s now see how you can make your first $100 on your blogs in less than 2 months.

Use long tail keywords to start a niche site

To stand any chance of making it alongside the big boys, you should never try to write articles based on head term keywords that they are already ranking for on Google’s first page. Instead, look for long tail keywords of such keywords that are less competitive and write on them.

For example, if you search for “blog”, you will see that “blog host” and “blog hosting” have global monthly searches of 49,500 and 40,500 respectively. They both have monthly local searches of 18,100 each (with high competition). But “make your blog” has global monthly search of 74,000 and local search of 33,100, and the competition is medium.

So you can write on keywords like’10 ways to make your blog stand out from the rest’, ‘How to make your blog attract advertisers’, ‘How to make your blog an affiliate haven’, etc. You can easily make Google first page with those headlines and yet withstand the competition.

Easiest way to make your first $100

One of the easiest ways to make your first $100 is through your email list. You just have to get at least 1oo to 300 people to your email list and then send an email pitch to them. Even any two of them buy your affiliate product (that gives $50 commission each), you can make your first $100.

How much time it takes?

Within 1 or 2 hours you can write an email newsletter to promote your affiliate products. Make sure to give them the benefits. If they find it useful and relevant to your blog, they will definitely buy!

So what are you looking for?

Start building an email list. Use Get Response to build your email list. They are offering a 30 day free trial if you buy through this link. Offer something for free to double your email subscribers.

Write paid articles for others

If you have good enough writing skills, you can make money through freelance writing. And you don’t even require a lot of money and efforts to make money from freelance writing.

All you need is to create a page where you can easily attract people to hire your writing services and post some quality contents on your blogs regularly.

If they like your posts, they will definitely come and ask your services. You don’t need to charge $100 per article in the beginning, even if you take $10 per one article, writing just 10 articles can give your first $100. You can also offer a 10 article bulk package for $80 or $90 so that your clients might be interested in it.

Once you are getting good number of clients, you can charge more money. It all depends on your connections and the time you allocate to your writing services.

Get endorsement

Your next target should be how to get endorsement from authority sites or from probloggers who are already trusted and have a large followership. How do you get the endorsement of the probloggers?

1. Visit their blogs and leave quality/helpful comments. This would get their attention if the comments are non-spammy and they proffer solution to concerns raised by other commenters. Also try to be among the first three persons to leave a comment on each new post.

2. Offer quality, well-researched guest articles. The probloggers sometimes don’t have all the time in this world to update their own sites. If you offer them quality, well-researched informative guest posts, tendency is that they would accept it without minding whether you are new to blogging. Once your articles are published there, their readers begin to know you and visit your site.

3. Another way to get endorsement is to try and write a quality post for a news syndicating website. Once your offer is accepted and published, you are sure to get new readers trooping to your blog in their hundreds.

Use Fiverr to make your first $100 online

Another smart way to make money online is to use Fiverr. It’s a online marketing place and people always search for gigs to get what they want just for $5.

That means you are doing something (logo design, editing or writing an article) for $5, people will constantly look for these gigs on Fiverr. If they find interesting, you will get more gigs and more gigs means you can make more money online.

First start with something that you are good at. If you are really good at writing, offer your services for $5 and if possible showcase your authority so that more people would be interested in hiring your services. Once you get enough clients, you can also offer premium services and you can always upsell your way to make more money.

Start affiliate marketing

Now don’t rush into adding Google adsense because they would not give you as much. If you add adsense, be sure you are optimizing for high paying keywords, using longtail keywords. The best thing to do at this time is to add affiliate products in high demand. It all depends on your niche. So you need to choose your affiliate programmes based on the niche you have chosen.

For instance, if you are into blogging, choose affiliate programmes related to blogging and webhosting. You can choose hostgator, namecheap or bluehost hosting programmes and promote them by offering free wordpress blog set up for anyone who joins through your link.

You can also decide to promote affiliate programmes that have to do with plugins, wordpress premium themes, etc. You simply write a special post on them, add your link and make your promise to help with the set up and also offer free wordpress blog support. A lot of people are working on a lean budget. They would see this as an added advantage and swallow your bait. You are sure to make your first $100 on your blog in less than 2 months if this is well done.

Product reviews

You can also offer product reviews on your blog. Make sure you do a thorough research on the product before writing your reviews. Write on both the good qualities and the bad side of the products you are reviewing. A balanced and well researched review would make your blog visitors want to buy such products.

If you have an affiliate link to that product, you make money each time someone buys it through your link. You can also do a paid review in which case you are paid for writing an unbiased review on the product. You can get product reviews from Sponsoredreview, PayPerPost, LinkFromBlog, etc.

Create an eBook and sell it

Creating an eBook is not a rocket science. If you have enough knowledge related to your blogging topics, you can create a paid eBook no matter what niche you are in.

All you have to do is to focus on few unique things to cover. You can analyze your competition, check out top blogs in your industry and find out what products they are selling. So that you will get a better idea on what to sell.

If no one is selling any eBooks in your niche, then you start it. Who knows you can even make thousands of dollars only by selling eBooks if you have enough people attention (and great stuff).

Even if you put a value of $10 on your eBook, by selling just 10 eBooks (one book every week), you can make your first $100. Or you can also create and sell products like themes, or plugins if you are good at coding. All you have to do is to find out what you are good at and start selling them from your blogs.

Ask your friends to launch a WordPress site

By driving your friends to sign up at Bluehost, you will receive $65.00 per referral. Even if you convince at least two people to launch their websites using Bluehost, you will easily make your $100 and of course they will make you payments after 2 months (after a successful sale from your links).

It is easier to earn your first $100 on your blog if you work meticulously following the above mentioned tips. So once again, to earn your first $100, you need to update your site regularly, ask your friends to start their own WordPress blogs using your web host affiliate links, use long tail keywords, start affiliate marketing, get endorsement and do products reviews on your blog.

What do you think I have left out? We would love to hear own contributions. What was your easiest way to earn the first $100 on your blog? How do you think new bloggers can also get their first check online? Your personal opinions could go a long way at helping someone out. Share this post with your friends if you find it helpful.

I personally never use Google Adsense to make money via Advertisement… They lower the quality of blog to make quite a few cents… All this tips would be very helpful

    • Efoghor Joseph

Chirag, You can do without Google Adsense if you have better alternatives to monetize your blog. But whereby you don’t have, Adsense still remains a good way to do so.
The only problem is that you need a lot of traffic to be able to make considerable income with Adsense.

  • Randy Carlisle

Very good article Joseph. When I was a newbie in internet marketing, I followed a plan similar to yours, using Adsense, and started making $100 checks. I would advise newbies that once you start making money, spend time developing your site even more, and turn that $100 into much more.

    • Efoghor Joseph Ezie

  • Priyanka

It is one of the best article to understand the guidelines in an efficient way. I am also a blogger and working as a professional content writer. But, when I joined AdSense to earn money, blogger community didn’t approve my ID. Please suggest me how can I join AdSense in a systematic manner,

Thanks for your valuable post. All the best

  • Efoghor Joseph Ezie

Priyanka, thanks for your comment. It’s quite unfortunate your Adsense wasn’t approved.
My advice is that you join and set up a quality blog. Add at least 25 posts to it and reapply for an Adsense account. You may be lucky it is approved on your first attempt.
You must avoid copying from other sources.

  • Frank Joseph

  • Vikas Yadav

A very nice and informative article to earn the first 100 dollar with in 2 or less month. But, I think that no one buy the product (or hardly any) because no people know the new blogger in the blogosphere. The only solutions of earning the $100 within the first 2 months is using the high paying keywords on their blog. Only then it would happne.

    • Efoghor Joseph Ezie

Yadav, sometimes, this is true that the new blogger is barely known. But in some cases, if you write great posts that rank high in the search engines, you will certainly get traffic. If people enjoy your write up, they would certainly want to buy whatever you recommend to them.

  • Sayyed Parvez

This is an interesting article for an $1oo start. Lots of information in few words. Tips have been presented in very simple and plain language to easily grasp the idea. Thanks for the great post.

    • Efoghor Joseph Ezie

Hi Parvez, thanks for appreciating my writing and the information contained in this post. I would be happier if you implement them and get positive results too.
      Do have a lovely week.

  • Ravi Verma

And that’s called the perfect guide to create first $100 in very less time of blogging.
Joseph, I really admire you to give such a firing write up and encouraging me to build my list as well.

I never thought seriously about creating the email list, but now with a start of my new blog, I have focused on it. I hope I will create a good list in upcoming days.
Thanks again for this nice guide about fiverr too.

    • Efoghor Joseph Ezie

Hello Ravi, I am glad to hear you are already taking positive action. This write up is actually meant for action takers. You only get results if you take action. Having an email list is a great asset, and every blogger must have it because content is in the list.

I wish you the best in your blogging career. Do have a lovely weekend ahead of you.

  • Mainak Halder

Nice post and perfect guide to making the first $100. Especially, the earning from Fiverr or from freelancing works great. Building an email list takes time and to sell from your affiliate links, you need to gain trust of your visitors. So, apart from that point, I agree with all the other points.

    • Efoghor Joseph Ezie

Hello Mainak, thanks for your contribution. Fiverr and freelancing works have great prospects for bloggers. Once you can deliver your jobs on time and also maintain high quality, you are bound to get more orders and make more money too.
      Do have a lovely day.

  • Abhijit Bangal

I doubt when you said, “If no one is selling any eBooks in your niche, then you start it.” Writing has become so easy and it is more easier (I should have only said easier, but just to emphasize I am saying this) to create eBooks these days. There are many tools that help us along. So, I am doubtful if there is any such niche that doesn’t have an eBook online anywhere.

  • Mahendra

    Hello Efoghor
Really I heard Fiverr her first time. thanks for keeping me update with it. I liked the post. ya getting $ 100 in the beginning of blogging is really great feeling. I will try Fiverr for sure. Nice article.

  • Abhishek Tavasalkar

    Hello Efoghor,

This is the most coolest article I’ve read on Making Money Online. I think most of us haven’t really thought about these ideas combined.

I liked the freelancing point where it is much easier to earn quick money. I’ve do read Product Review sites do not work with blogs with less traffic.

Concluding here. Making Money out of keyword research is a little difficult.

  • Qasim

    Hi Efoghor,

Indeed, there is a lot of ways to get 100$ in few months. It took more time to get my first 100$ because when I started I didn’t new about the different ways. I was able to make more than 100$ now but I am still not able to reach 100$ a month.
Writing about long tail keywords is a great way to get money get higher blog traffic at the same time. I am not using it on my blog but I should start now.

  • Tom

I like the idea of the email list, but how are you going to advertise it? You will need a blog with visitors, which will definitely take more than a couple of hours.
