I have been into serious blogging for some 8 months and it has been a fun filled ride. I have learnt a lot in the blogosphere. Getting a domain to hosting with WordPress and using FTP clients to mastering the basics of WordPress, it was all fun going through that. And my experiences have helped me to become a better blogger as compared to what I was when I started.
But one thing that has been a problem for me since I started blogging was deciding a post schedule. A schedule that allows me to write enough posts per week for my blog and at the same time permitting me to some time for myself, family and friends. Have a look at some of the schedules I thought upon and could not continue with it.
1. Writing every alternate day- This was the best I worked upon and followed it for 2 months. And I still believe this is the one of the best. The only drawback is when you look at it after a month, you get 15 posts and it is little less from Google and PR’s perspective. But you have enough time for everything else which is as important as the blog.
2. 7 posts every 10 days- I just followed it for a month. So much of writing left me with very less time for my blog and I had to abandon it.
3. Two breaks in a week- This is also a nice schedule. I posted on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and took break on Wednesday and Saturday. And I figured that you can work upon this schedule quite nicely if you are enough dedicated enough.
4. Twice every 3 days- I currently follow this schedule although some might disagree with this. But this is the best I can give at blogging. I try to be very regular but my personal commitments never allow me.
I have not discussed the possibility of posting everyday because my life does not have provision for it. After a day job, it is not possible to write with same enthusiasm everyday and I do not want to make any compromise with the quality of my posts.
In the end, I would like to know about your post schedule. I have already discussed that some bloggers have started posting more regularly than before. There are few ideas which I have mentioned above and they might be useful to you. Do share through the comments section below.

I believe in writing whenever I get time, just give the readers what they want, but we must not take long breaks in Blogging which will test the patience of the readers. I believe in a post after every 2-3 days

And testing reader’s patience is not a good strategy…
An ideal posting schedule is obviously one-post-a-day but it becomes very difficult to do for a part-time blogger!
i never thought of posting everyday vivek…its tooo hectic
i wrote a few post per day, and i scheduled it for one post per two days.. for now i have no problem to keep to pace consistent.. so with some free time i can enjoy my blogging more like read other blog comment and socialize.
Post schedule is good for search engine and for readers.. as crawlers will set a time to crawl your blog and your readers will have an idea when to expect a post from you…

more specifically, it will be good for us when we will know that when is the time of posting
The best approach i feel is to draft when ever you have time and try to keep up a surplus of draft posts that are schedule to a regular time that doesn’t stress you.

I tend to blog at random intervals and tend to keep my posts varying from one technical topic to the other. If and only if I have started a series of blog posts, then I maintain the schedule of what I have written in the post so that users do not have to wait for the next part of the series.
It always works and makes my timings not strictly adhering to the ideal time of posting.
Normally I tend to blog at least 5 posts per week. But, this does not mean that I write off 5 posts and schedule them. I write them, when I come across something interesting or learnt something new.

This was the best I worked upon and followed it for 2 months. And I still believe this is the one of the best.
