One reason why every blogger keep on blogging consistently and write better posts from the previous ones is because he wants to retain his old visitors. You do not want people to visit you once and then forget all about it. You always want them to visit you again and again and become your loyal visitor. Seems too good na? Every blogger has this aim only, to retain maximum of the first time visitors and wish they keep returning to your blog.
But there is one reason, only one reason in my knowledge why you will not like to see those same old visitors again to my blog. This reason applies to those who are hardcore money maker and believe in just making money from his blog and no relations.
Here is the reason-
Returning or loyal visitors will never click on your Adsense and affiliate ads. This is one of those truths which you will never like to hear or accept but it is a genuine fact. And this is quite obvious too. The old visitors visit your blog by directly typing your blog name in their browser’s address bar and reach your blog for new post and information. This is because they like what you write and how you write. They did not searched for some money making term on Google and then reached your blog. They are genuine visitors.
On the other hands, if you want to make good hard money from your blog, you need to change your strategy. First of all, you need to identify your target visitors and write according to them. Incorporate long keywords in the blog content and make sure that people reached your blog through channels like Google and Yahoo instead of other blogs. Because the best Adsense income you get is through the search engines visitors. These are the people who will click the ads and affiliate banners because they are in search of new opportunities.
In the end-
Although, it is entirely your choice that you target as it depends on your goals. But it should be kept in mind that the loyal visitors are one that will get you maximum benefit in blogging.

I agree with you, the most of earning comes from new visitors. But don’t forget, loyal visitors are important for traffic if you are use CPM affiliate.
yes…i agree and there are more pros than cons of having loyal visitors
This is the reason why I’m looking for a way of showing Google Adsense ads to only search engine visitors. The hacks I’ve found in the past simply don’t work with cache plug-ins @ all
