Posting frequency has been of the most discussed topic in a blogger’s career. Figuring a way on how you will be discussing is something that still creates a doubt in a blogger’s mind. Experts have always favored posting as regularly you can. This will get you better traffic, ranks and reputation.

But writing regularly has never been easy. Full time bloggers can afford to invest their time in this activity but for the part time bloggers, writing quality articles daily is a big task. I have tried it many times myself but after 1 week or so, I just couldn’t stick to this schedule. But after a few months of playing around with the schedule, I found out that writing daily is not that difficult. All you need to do is to follow some guidelines.

writing

  1. Be prepared with at least 10 articles- I believe more time goes in thinking than writing. Writing takes only 15-20 minutes if you have the idea. So, be prepared with at least 10 post ideas before you sit down to write something.
  2. Keep a diary beside you- I have realized that keeping a diary or notepad beside you is important while you are surfing blogosphere. It finds it very useful as I immediately write down any idea that comes up in my mind. My observation says that if you will leave it to do 4 hour later, most probably you will forget it. So, as soon as you get a new idea, write it down. Even if you are thinking to write down immediately, at least you would not forget it.
  3. An open mind is very important- Respect the new and unknown bloggers. Do not ignore them considering a newbie and presume that they lack knowledge. Even if they have written something wrong unknowingly, do not criticize them. Instead, make a point to correct them in your post and link back. This way, you won’t have to look for an idea and you will gain reputation too.
  4. Write maximum posts in one sitting- Nobody gets free time daily. Even if you have planned some time especially for this, you can’t tell what situation may come up and you can’t write in that time. So its better that you write as much posts as you can in one sitting. This will help you in keeping a reserve of your posts and you can publish them whenever you want.

No doubt, writing daily is very difficult as no blogger want to compromise with his post quality in this highly competitive blogging world. But following above steps can help you to make this task easy to some extent.

I tend to schedule 7 posts ahead, but lately I just publish one every day myself. I am sure I will get back to scheduling soon. It hasn’t been an issue for me to come up with daily postings. At one point I did 7 every day. I slowed it down to one or two now, but it depends on what I feel like that day.
