Your Blog’s SWOT Analysis- Part 2- Weakness

This post is a part of SWOT Series at Bloggers Passion. We have already discussed the ‘S’ i.e. your Strengths that can help your blog becoming a superpower. Today I will be taking ‘W’ i.e. Weakness.

WEAKNESS

Nobody in this world is perfect. We all have weak points which remain with us forever. And this is nothing to get embarrass about or sulk at. More important is that you should admit your weakness and try to conquer them. Knowing it and still living with it is the biggest weakness friends.

Now coming to blogging, there are few areas that weakness relate to. For example, you are weak in

1. Getting constant traffic.

2. Writing content that encourages comments.

3. Search Engine Optimization.

4. Gathering enough ideas to write.

And the list goes on. I will advice you that instead of writing a post today, take a break and analyze what you have done in blogging so far and compare it with some bloggers whom you adore and see where they were at this stage of blogging. This will help you get a clear picture of where you lag behind and will also tell you what you have not been able to do till date what they are doing. Now it will be up to you to decide that whether you will overcome it or polish your strengths so much that these weaknesses will hold no relevance any more.

There are only two ways (in my opinion) of making your weakness work in your favor.

1. Overcome them- Not that easy. For me, it is always the hardest thing to do and that is why I prefer the second option which I will be telling shortly. For those who are complete hard workers, you should learn the basics that will allow you to improve your weaker sections so that you start defeating them slowly and eventually, they will not be a weakness any more.

2. Do what you know best- This is what I do. Do what you are good at until the weakness does not come in between any longer. Let’s take an example. Suppose I am not getting new visitors regularly. I have tried to my extreme but they are coming neither through comments nor through advertisements. So what will I do? I will do what I have been doing till date. I will concentrate more on the returning visitors and will give my best to provide them the best material so that they promote my blog through word of mouth because I know I can write good useful stuff what people are looking for. This way I can triumph.

It is good for you to realize your weakness as soon as possible. And to rectify them even sooner is the best approach. It is up to you which way you choose from the above mentioned but do it today.
