But a few important metrics like: โProduct ASINโ are missing. Yes, Magnet doesnโt give information that tells us which Product ASIN is ranking at what position for the keyword you enter.
Overall Helium 10 keyword research tools are effective for finding competitor keywords and getting keyword suggestions. However, usage and data access are limited unless you upgrade to a higher-tier plan.
3. Product Research Tools: Do you Really Find a Potential Amazon Product with Helium 10?
One of the biggest challenges for new Amazon sellers is finding a product with real revenue potential.
Helium 10 Black Box tool, with its database of nearly 2 billion products, helps you find that goldmine. It includes several unique tools that discover products in different ways.
I was curious but quickly overwhelmedโthese tools are comprehensive, and I had to watch a few tutorials to grasp it all.
Black Box > Products:
If you’re looking for best-selling product ideas in your category, this tool could be very useful for you.
This tool has dozens of filters and based on it it will find revenue potential product ideas. The filters are categorized into: Product, Competitors, and Sales.
With the help of these filters, I can narrow down my product research to find the specific product I’m searching for in my category.
For example, if I want to find an Amazon product in the Office Products > Office Electronics category that has more than 30 reviews, ‘desk’ in the title, a price over $20, and a monthly revenue of at least $1,000, I can set these filters and easily find product ideas that meet my criteria.
Black Box > Keywords:

This niche-specific information can be useful if you’re unsure about your niche revenue scope and want to understand the current situation in Amazon’s market.

Like me, you might find using the filters a bit confusing at first, but it gets easier once you get the hang of it.
Helium 10 also helps find product ideas from the ‘Frequently Bought Together,’ ‘Amazon Suggestions,’ and ‘Customers Also Bought’ categories.

4. Listing Optimization Tools of Helium 10
1. Frankenstein:
It simply refines your list of keywords that you want to add to your Amazon product listings, allowing you to process a clean keyword list in Helium 10 listing builder.
With this tool, you can remove duplicates, and common words, replace keywords, and more.
When I used this tool, I noticed that my final keyword list was cleaned up, and ultimately, there were no unwanted or duplicate keywords in my final product listing.
It basically saves a lot of manual human time by turning a messy list of keywords into a refined one.
2. Listing Analyzer:
If you have your own checklist for optimizing your Amazon listings, that’s fine.
Otherwise, Helium 10 offers a dedicated tool that not only analyzes your product listing and provides optimization suggestions but also compares your listing with major competitors, revealing strengths and weaknesses.
This task is automated, saving you a lot of manual hours. When I run this Helium 10 tool, the first thing I get is the Sales data (Earnings, Units sold, Historical price trend, Sales trend, Best seller rank, etc) of an Amazon product listing.
To be honest, by comparing these sales metrics with my competitor’s listing, I was able to easily find out when my top-performing competitor was changing their pricing and how much impact this change had on their sales.
With this information, you can determine how much price flexibility you need to offer to customers for maximum sales.
Although Helium 10 provides great information, it doesnโt combine pricing changes and sales changes into a single visual graph to show the sales ratio. I found it a bit challenging to interpret by having to repeatedly open separate graphs for sales and price trends.
When I scroll down a bit, I see Helium 10 gives an LQS (Listing Quality Score) on an Amazon listing.
And it shows how many parameters are complete in your copy, media, and reviews, and how many are not. The suggested optimizations seem good and genuine to me.
3. Listing Builder:
Helium 10 has a popular tool called โScribblesโ that is used to help you build a listing based on your manual prompts.
But they recently launched the โAI Listing Builder,โ where you can build your listing from scratch or based on your competitors’ listings.
I input my top competitor’s ASIN, which had a good LQS score that I found using Helium 10’s Listing Analyzer. Then, it asked me for keywords.
Now, if you create a keyword list manually, you can clean it using Frankenstein and paste it here, or Helium 10 can do this automatically. You just need to enter the listings of your top 10 competitorsโ ASINs, and the tool will automatically fetch the keywords.
I was disappointed because the AI Listing Builder in Helium 10 is only available with high-end plans.
It gives only a 4-day trial for other users. Anyway, I went ahead and asked AI to write every prompt for me: Product Title, Bullet Points, and more.
The good thing is that Helium 10 has added a “show tips” option in all fields, which explains what to enter for all Amazon product listing parameters.
When I reviewed all the prompts, I realized that their AI Listing Builder only works well if you define the keywords yourself; otherwise, it adds other brands’ content to your listing.
Helium 10 Listing Building tools are generally helpful, with Frankenstein standing out for refining keyword lists to create strong Amazon product listings.
Listing Analyzerโs sales data is also valuable for optimizing your listings.
However, Iโm not a fan of the AI Listing Builder, as it requires significant editing before you can finalize a listing, making it less efficient.
5. Analytics Tools of Helium 10
1.) Keyword Tracker: Perfect for Product Rank Tracking
Without keyword tracking, Amazon seller software is absolutely useless.
Fortunately, with Helium 10, you can track your products and their major competitors’ keywords in real-time.
You can visualize how your selected keywords’ rankings for your product and your competitor’s product change over time.
You can also see which of your tracked keywords have moved into or out of the top 10 or top 50.
Not just that, you can also track the number of sales a keyword is generating for you on a monthly basis.
Overall, it is a good Amazon keyword rank tracking tool. Most sellers can use this tool in their daily eCommerce journey to see which keywords in their listing are performing poorly and plan their strategy accordingly.
The number of keywords you can track depends on your plan. This feature is not available in the Helium 10 starter plan and counts as a major limitation.
2.) Market Tracker: Perfect for Keeping Up to Date with Market Trends
Market Tracker is another analytics tool in Helium 10 that keeps you informed about the top performers (products) in a specific niche or market, who is rising or falling, and which new Amazon products have entered your industry.
This tool is more beneficial for existing sellers rather than new ones as it allows you to see your position compared to others in the market.

To get started, you need to define the keywords and the products (including yours) that you want to track in the market.
For Amazon sellers, I find the most valuable feature of this tool is that it provides new product ideas that are performing well from a customer perspective.
Without this tool, you wouldnโt know whatโs happening behind the scenes in your market on Amazon. Or you wonโt know whether a particular product is performing in the market or not.
As I mentioned before, this is just information, and you need product management skills to make the most of it.

You cannot run a successful eCommerce store without Analytics tools available in your inventory. The Market Research data is highly essential to make successful product related decisions, It basically does Amazon market research for you in a few clicks.
6. The Operations Tools of Helium 10
1.) Alerts:
If you’re a new Amazon seller, you might not be aware that someone could copy your product listing and commit fraud, potentially damaging your brand’s value.
Sometimes, Amazon itself makes changes to product listings, such as altering the title, pricing, or even product dimensions. These small changes can impact your overall profitability.
And if you donโt have a tool to constantly monitor your product listings, imagine how difficult it would be to manage all this manually.
Helium 10 offers a dedicated “Alerts” tool within their operations tools that constantly monitors your listings for such changes and alerts you via text notification, email, or mobile app.
It even monitors negative reviews and takes a screenshot of your product listing every day, so you can check for unexpected changes yourself.
2.) Follow Up:
As the name suggests, Follow Up helps you connect with your customers, especially through email automation after they purchase from you. The goal of this tool is to enhance the customer experience as a seller.
Often, when people buy something on Amazon, they don’t have a way to contact the seller directly. If you have products that require customer interaction before shipping, you can use Helium 10 to connect with them and deliver the product according to their customization or requests.
Additionally, you can request reviews from customers after their purchase, as many customers tend to skip the default review prompt sent by Amazon.
And for an even better experience, you can send selected customers discount coupons for future products.
3.) Inventory Management:
Inventory management is crucial in an Amazon eCommerce business.
While new sellers might not need a dedicated tool for this, itโs essential for larger businesses where the list of products is large!!!
Helium 10 provides a range of tools for inventory management.
For example, it helps you track how much stock you have for each product, when to place your next reorder with the supplier, when to transfer products from the warehouse to Amazon’s logistics office, how many local orders to fulfill, and more.
Not only can you monitor stock availability, but you can also manage all your inventory operations within this tool, including purchase orders and inbound shipments. It keeps you updated on the status of everything.
Many sellers (including me) used to manage their inventory using Excel sheets, but thatโs not an effective approach. Using a comprehensive Amazon seller software like Helium 10 allows you to manage everything from one place and automatically alerts you if a product is about to go out of stock or if thereโs an issue in your supply chain.
Helium 10 gives you complete control as an admin, so youโll always know that no one has tampered with your inventory.

The reimbursement rates for FBA refunds are quite poor. In fact, Iโve seen many sellers exit Amazon eCommerce because they are unable to recover their losses from refunds.
However, Helium 10 has introduced a new service called โManaged Refund Service,โ where their team handles the entire process for you.
But keep in mind, this service is not freeโif you receive a reimbursement through their efforts, youโll need to pay them a 25% fee.
I feel 25% is a lot to ask for. But it’s good that they donโt charge for orders that fail or for which reimbursement isn’t granted.
To simplify Amazon operations, Helium 10 offers various tools, each with its own unique features. Out of the five tools, I didn’t find the Managed Refund Service tool particularly worth it. Paying extra every month for a task you can handle manually by contacting Amazon’s support team seems unnecessary.

1.) Filter Ineffective Keywords: Adtomic lets you filter out PPC keywords that get clicks but no sales, helping you focus on what works.
2.) Automated Ad Groups Rules:
For example, if you want to create a rule where a keyword that performs well automatically moves to another Ad Group, you can do so.
Imagine if you were to do this manually in Amazon Seller Centralโyou would first have to review a detailed Excel sheet for one Ad Group, identify the well-performing keywords, and then manually transfer those keywords to another campaign. Isnโt that too time-consuming?
3.) One Click Keywords Transfer:
Amazon Seller Central suggests keywords that are generating sales, and Helium 10 does this too.

Among all the free tools offered by Helium 10, I feel their Chrome Extension is the most powerful one. Other tools are limited in their functionality but you can use them to take a look at how Helium 10 works.
